OK, I have run my reports today to get sales figures for Solipsist. It's been available since 12 March as a PDF and print pre-order. It was fully launched on 22/23 March at Conpulsion in Edinburgh.
To date we've sold...
Direct Print = 27 (20 at Conpulsion)
IPR Print = 9
IPR PDF = 6
OBS PDF = 8
Total = 50 sales (14 PDF/36 Print)
I am over the moon at these numbers and while I expect them to drop drastically in the following months I think we'll do OK. I'm encouraged by the sales of the PDF through OneBookShelf and of the print book through IPR. Some shops have been picking it up in ones and the hope is they sell and we get re-orders.
So, while we haven't paid off all the print and art costs of the book yet, we have made significant inroads into them.
I feel these numbers are at the very upper end of what I could have expected of a new book launch.

I too am pretty happy with them, the print sales at Conpulsion especially having exceeded my wildest hopes. I am looking forward to seeing some APs in the future.

OK, our first "real" month without a con to help us...
IPR (book): 16
IPR (PDF): 3
OBS (PDF): 2
Direct (book): 2

Total: 25
I'm pretty happy with this number and we now move on into May, where I'm curious to see what happens.
My gut feeling is that our numbers should half again, but IPR is hoping that more retailers will be picking up books on the back of Gamma Trade Show and a change in the amount of discount retailers get... so, maybe we'll end up in more retailer shopping carts.
We'll also have UK Games Expo at month end but those numbers will count for June not May.
