Dragonmeet (29th November, London) is one of the key dates in the UK convention calendar. It's a great one day con, professionally run, always busy and very friendly. There's lots of opportunity for chat, exposure and sales.
I'd now like to open up the Collective Endeavour booth to people who would like to sell their books at Dragonmeet. Obviously, participation on the booth is subject to the usual requirement, in that you must be a productive member of the community who has discussed, supported and contributed.
There are two ways you can be involved in the booth (please note: if you wish to run games on behalf of CE at Dragonmeet, that is a totally different thing, please do not discuss that in this thread. Rich Stokes is responsible for organising games this year and will doubtless talk about that side of things in the near future).
1) Be present on the booth selling and demoing your game and the games of everyone else involved.
2) Have you book on the booth, but not be on the booth in person.
Both options cost the same in cash terms (between £25 and £35 depending on final numbers).
If you wish to be present on the booth, there are two open spaces available. The booth will (as of today) have following people present:
Andy Kenrick
Gregor Hutton
Iain McAllister
Joe Prince
Matt Machell
Neil Gow
I won't be present at the con, but will be paying in to have my books sold.
I'd like to have this all tied up as quickly as possible, so if people could respond as quickly as possible (within 48 hours, by lunchtime on Wednesday).
Please only respond to this thread if you wish to:
1) Be present on the booth
or
2) Have your books for sale on the booth
and
3) Can afford to pay your share of the booth fees.
Thanks
Malcolm

I'd love to be on the booth,

I'd love to be on the booth, but I don't think time permits. I'm down on the schedule to run Solipsist in the morning and do something with Starblazer in the afternoon, so I'll go with paying money to have books on the stall.
Do you have any estimate based on previous cons of how many copies I should have available. I am low on copies and might need to print some more so it would be nice to know if that would be needed.

2007 Sales...
Submitted by Gregor Hutton on Mon, 22/09/2008 - 12:08.
2007 Sales show that a new hot release will need something like 20 books, while 10 seems to be enough for most everything else.
Other factors will be that IndieCon is earlier in November and people might pick up books there, and that Leisure Games has sold quite a few books too of anything that's already out.
For Solipsist you have done well throughout the year (Best Seller! tag next to its entry at Leisure Games) so that might also mean you won't need more than 10.
Running a game, which you are doing, has a high conversion rate for Solipsist.
That's fine David, thanks.

That's fine David, thanks. I'll put you down as not attending, but playing to have your books there.
As far as sales figures go, the 2007 figures are available. This year, we have a good number of products that are new to Dragonmeet (3:16, Hot War, B-Movie, Solipsist etc) which could see an boost in sales from the levels we experienced last year. I would take a minimum of 10 copies .
edit: and crossposted with Gregor!
Cheers
