Hiya
Folks at the Pompey Crew, but mainly me, want to play "Six Bullets for Vengeance".
I've crabbed around the internet reading AP reports and looking for The Game Itself, but all I've found is this PDF, which looks unfinished and out of date. Is SB4V still a goer? If so, can I have the latest version of The Game Itself so that we can take it for a spin? Ideally we want to play it before Conception... I will of course post an AP report so that y'all can get feedback and stuff.
The premise of SB4V is golden... throw a guy a bone here.
Cheers
Pete

Good question!
Andrew was playtesting Ordinary Angels at Indiecon, and as far as I know SIx Bullets was still on hiatus (and that may indeed be the last version) but that Andy was gearing up to tackle it and get it moving again.
(There are equally demanding calls for Memories and Madness to be progressed as well... but there are only so many hours in the day and most of those are eaten by other demanding beasts.)
But, anyway, Andy will be along soon and let you know.

I've wanted to play since the first thoughts posts on the Forge all those many moons ago... But you know, no need to make a game on our account if you don't love us... and you hate Portsmouth and its many burly and tattooed men with short tempers....
But seriously, if you need a hand, we got a regular indie-game-thing going to go do it.

Actually that pdf is the very first draft - the game is quite different from that now! It's been sitting complete since last christmas, but I've been poking the manuscript on and off before I send it out for playtesting. I should probably stop now and just see what people make of it. It works for me, but I don't know if it does for other people!
Drop me an email if you'd like the current playtest draft and I'll send it your way.

Aye, I got it ages ago. It went directly into my "Spam" folder so I didn't see it :(
Anwyays, cheers Andrew... I reckon we'll get it playtested before Conception.

Bloody hell that was fast! Actual play returned within a day of sending out the playtest doc! That feedback is golden too - I'll reply both here and there, for completeness, but engage in whichever thread you feel best.

Hi Andrew
I have subsequently edited my AP report in light of a reread of the text. We missed something fundamental, but I've highlighted the edit concerning that.
Something missing from my AP report is praise: 6B4V is a great game, fab premise, great structure (well 4 out of 5 players liked the structure), with legs that could run and run over many dramatic scenarios, and we all really enjoyed the nights gaming.
Send out v 0.7 already, we want to game on some more :)
Merry Christmas
Pete

Cheers for that Pete - I think we've just had a cross-post over at UKRPG so I've gone back to address your edited points! I've been dilligently making notes as I've gone along, so will try and make me some changes today or tomorrow.
