Jez Grey gives Duty & Honour the once-over at rpg.net

This weekend I will also be sending the book off for an official second printing (which I have jovially coined the '1809 edition') that will have some corrections and clarifications in the rules. I will be posting a full errata sheet on the D&H site and linking it from here to help people who have the original book.

God Save the King!

... in a burst of job-related procrastination!

The errata sheet is now available at http://www.omnihedron.co.uk/dutyandhonour/downloads/errata1.pdf

And the second printing is now available on rpgnow and Lulu.

As an information point, I have also done a massive splurge on rpgnow with banners and featured products, burning about 120 PPP so I will report back if I get an upswing in sales with that combined with the review.

Cheers

Update

Neil Gow's picture

Grey... Gray... Honestly!

Anyway, some data back regarding the post-review sales boosted by the PPP splurge. The game sold as many copies over rpgnow as it had in the previous three months put together, and just shy of the pdf sales in its first full month. It was a definite, palpable upsurge. The sales also stopped as soon as the Featured Product promotion stopped. I'll be experimenting in a month or so with just the Featured Product to see a comparison. I also ran a banner but I have to say that the click thrus are pitiful - 0.2%. Its just invisible at the bottom of the screen.

So yes, just to reinforce I suppose - reviews and exposure boost sales. In other news, water is wet!

What's a PPP?

PPPs

Publisher Promotional Points

You get a certain number of PPPs each month, based on sales. You spend them to get your game as the featured product (the box at the top of the page) or a banner (the box at the bottom of the page) and some other stuff as well.

Each batch of page impressions (2500 for the top, 10000 for the bottom) costs a certain number of PPP based on demand.
