[CGS] Q1 & 2 Sales

I failed to put up figures for our Q1 results, mainly due to the busy-ness of thesis writing and tutoring. However, I've now put all the figures in to the usual spreadsheet and have the numbers for both Q1 and Q2. There's some interesting stuff to be said, especially in light of Q2 figures.

Q1

Hot War

Q2

Lifetime Total: N/A

Cold City

IPR: 28

Total: 56
Lifetime Total: 1399

Hot War

Lifetime Total: 688

The substantial dip in sales during Q2 can be accounted for by two factors:

1) Hot War was out of stock for over a month while we got reprints done and in to the system with IPR and our own online shop. The extremely good direct sales that had been going on since the start of the year have only now started to pick up again.

2) This is probably the most significant thing: because I have been working on other things, I've pretty much stopped talking about games online. No promotion = drop in sales. This is a pretty good example of the way that word of mouth and personal promotion are real drivers in our sector of the RPG market.

With the two ENnie nominations for Hot War and the attendant publicity, we can probably expect to see an improvement in Q3 sales. The fact that I'll also be doing some chatting online in light of the nominations will be another contributing factor.

As far as lifetime sales go, things are still moving along nicely. Cold City is just shy of 1400 total sales and Hot War is approaching 700. It's likely that we'll see Cold City break 1500 by the end of the year and Hot War break 850 during the same period, if things continue as they are going.

Cheers
Malcolm
