Fred Hicks added this link to a tweet yesterday and I thought it was a very illuminating and sobering article, but also a useful marketing signpost for small press publishers. A number of the recommendations at the end are things that some of the more successful game publishers have done already to maximise their sales.

The logo is not used on any books, except last year's journal (which had the logo for self-evident reasons).
