Hi
I recently gave ActualPlay.com a facelift and figured I'd also try to spread the word a bit, too.
In case you haven't seen it, it's simply a portal for roleplayers to add links their actual plays, whether written, audio or video. You can then see how many clicks you get and be rated by users of the site. Visitors can browse actual plays by system, language, how popular or highly rated they are, that kind of thing.
Anyway, it only takes a moment to add your game's writeup and should net you a few readers who otherwise might not have found it. Or just take a look around, you might find something you'd have missed otherwise.

Does it flag the difference between actual plays and story hours?
Cos nothing is more irritating than expecting to find a writeup of how play worked, what real people did and how the system impacted play, but instead getting some bland fanfic writeup of the just fictional events.

Site seems to be down at the moment, I could only get hold of a Google-cached version from 7 September.
But it doesn't seem to distinquish between an actual play report of the sort than Matt mentions (and which os useful on many, many levels) and simply a re-telling of a game's fictional events (which often is of no use at all).
It might have some value regarding recordings/videos, though, because they show how you ACTUALLY PLAY a particular game and what's going on between the people while playing.

No, it makes no differentiation. It's just a portal, really. .Somewhere to pool all the reports that float around the 'net.
The problem with trying to categorize the APs between actual plays and story hours is that:
1) It's the writer who adds the AP, so it's a subjective judgement
2) Most fall somewhere in the middle, or vary between the two from write-up to write-up.
I suppose the thing to do is just have a look and see from a quick skim what the AP looks like.
Unless anyone can suggest a clear way of categorizing the entries I could add in.
