[Dark Days]My core concept is dumb, please help.

Dark Days is the game I'm working on. I'll explain it the way I came up with it, so that it makes sense.
Dark Days is a game about people with supernatural powers, that investigate and battle horrors in a world filled with the occult and the supernatural.

Are they magicians? No. They're people that died and then came back from the dead imbued with powers. Where do the powers come from? Darkness.

Darkness is a non-sentient force, one that affects our lives and pools where bad things happen. It's like a disease that spreads out as series of events unfold

Iain's Indiecon report

Iain McAllister's picture

Hi folks,

Finally managed to get sat down in front of a computer long enough to sum up my feelings about my first Indiecon. I had been to Conception a couple of times and was persuaded by Mr. Stokes that Indiecon would be right up my alley and a great place to get some playtesting in.

[Hell for Leather] My first release

Sebastian Hickey's picture

Hello,

I've run into a testing dead-end. Having contaminated my playtest group during the design process, I've now run out of independent readers. That is, anyone I know who would like to read the game has already suffered my gregarious explanations, and there's no point testing rules for credibility if the guys already know them.

I suppose this is a common problem, and something that the Collective Endeavour may have been formed to overcome, so that's why I'm asking for your help.

The Rendering Engine

The proof of the art book arrived today, and I must say I am extremely happy with it. There are a few thing to tidy up and adjust, but other than that it is ready to go. With any luck it will be available for Dragonmeet.

I will post some previews and a bit of press stuff when I get the final copies through.

Cheers

Paul

Excellent Publishing Breakdown

The guy that published Chronica Feudalis has posted an excellent rundown of his start-up costs for his game and his initial revenues.

Great to see a different perspective on a venture.

Hello,

I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Sebastian and I'm a... ahem... games designer. By that, I mean that I have a website. And some ideas.
