[Dragon vs Gun] Actual Play(test)

JoE PrincE's picture

So finally, it seems I may have actually got a weekly game. Hopefully this is not a sign of the impending apocalypse and things will continue in this vein...

At the moment we are playtesting my fantabulous Dragon vs Gun. DvG was originally written for the Ronnies waaay back in 2005. Since then it's been through several iterations and is getting dangerously close to a finished version. Not that anyone will buy it, but that's never stopped me before. The game's premise is a battle between chaos (the Dragon) and order (the Gun).

[The Hammer Falls] Playtesters Wanted!

Pooka's picture

I've just completed a playtest draft for my dystopian fiction game, The Hammer Falls. I'm currently struggling with a very old and messed-up computer, so it's visually nothing like what I wanted to release, but I think it's fairly understandable and will work as a play manual.

So I was hoping to get some feedback about the document and also about how it functions as instruction for play in real playtests - anyone that is interested, please post here or message me, and I'll be more than happy to send you a copy.

Thanks,

Pooka

The Hammer Falls - Playtest AP - "A Small Singularity"

*Cross-posted to lots of places*

At the end of December a couple of friends and I got together to playtest The Hammer Falls, which is my game-in-development of Dystopian Fiction. Considering my lack of preparation and our utilization of unwritten short play rules, it actually resulted in excellent fiction that impressed and stuck with all the players involved. So that's good.

On the other hand, the game is not operating exactly as intended, but I'll post most of the system and table analysis later, I just want to relate the story we created together for now.

[Dark Days] Character Creation AP

Finally I have something to post about my game. Crossposting this to the Forge.

This is a character creation playtest for Dark Days. What's Dark Days? I'm glad you asked!

You died. For a few seconds, your heart stopped, your lungs stopped drawing breath. Your body shut down. You thought dying would be grander, more impressive somehow. But dying isn't like in the movies. Death is bloody, dirty, without dignity or pride.

[Fallen] First Play-test

I'll post this in two parts, 'cos its fairly big. Tonight will be character creation and Awakening, tomorrow will be the game and what it threw up. That sounds bad, but you know what I mean...

[Six Bullets for Vengeance] Pompey crew playtest

Andrew Kenrick's picture

So, literally within a day of requesting the playtest doc, the Pompey crew have returned an awesome actual play/playtest report of Six Bullets. I doff my hats to you all. I owe you a game.

The actual play report and playtest feedback itself can be found at UKRPG at the link above, but for my own future reference, I'll post my responses to the questions here as well. I'm interested in everyone's take on the comments below, not just those who played, so please post away!
