[Dragonmeet] Flyer

Gregor Hutton's picture

Hey All!

Our artly member Jon Hodgson has solved the problem of us needing a front for the flyer.

It's here, and is supersweet. I really like this and think it hits all the buttons.

We now just need to organise what goes on the reverse. I was thinking of a price list for all our products and a list of upcoming/in development games (so we can catch things like B-Movie, Duty and Honour, Blackguard, Solipsist, etc.).

Membership and Dragonmeet Attendance

In this thread Ash asks about buying on to the table at Dragonmeet, and it's a good question. And the answer is applicable not just to Ash but to anyone who has recently come across us and shown an interest in the collective.

The best way to think of it is not that anyone is buying a share of a table and that's all. The way to think of it is that you are a member here first, and then some of the members here choose to spread the costs of the table between them.

I think it's a subtle and important distinction.

Dragonmeet Programme Advert

OK, here is my proposed advert for Dragonmeet's programme.

Is this OK, or do we have any changes we'd like to see?

For the moment I decided to stick with naming "currently published" members, though I hope that in future (at Conpulsion, Games Expo, etc.) we can move on to listing "newly published" members and perhaps even feature some testimonials from members who feel that the site has benefited them.

In any case, I have kept the ad to being functional and informative. Any and all feedback welcome!

Anyway, this is grey-scale, A4, PDF-X1a.

It's that time of year again!

So, it's that time of year again: The collective domain name just got renewed.

Which means somebody may owe me some money for domain and hosting. Which is vague, because last year we just split it between the founding-members. This year we are a bit more settled and have a more open door thing going on, which is cool, but also makes deciding how we do this more problematic.

Member perks

So this was partially brought on by the site change and also noticing that Geoff's comments were getting flagged as spam.

I've created a new user level called Member. It's like being a site user, except you get to create book/project pages, upload files, add clean urls to your contributions if needed and a whitelisting so the spam filter is less likely to purge you comments by accident. Oh, and change your user name if you wish.
