[Podcast] Warriors of the Central Belt

Iain McAllister's picture

So myself and Joe have been working away on a little project that is now coming to fruition. A while ago I mentioned my intention to do a podcast, and the indomitable Mr. Prince offered to host it with me.

Well the final bits of equipment are on the way, webspace is being secured and soon we will be doing a test run of the show. The idea is to keep it to approximately the same length each session, and have some standard features. So I present here the tentative schedule for our first 30 minute podcast.

Record Date: 2nd March
Release Date: 16th March

[Revenge of the B-movie] Getting it out

Right I am fed up having this awesome game sitting on my desk doing nothing and really need to get it out to the public. It is ready to go as far as I can tell. I have several options and would appreciate feedback.

1) Print it properly: This is going to cost somewhere inthe region of £1000 for about 500 decks, through my current printer of choice. The downside is their boxes are a little flimsy and I will have to reduce the deck another 8 cards which will mean more testing. Also they dont send out a proof, you have to pay for that.

I am finishing off the new version of Reel Adventures at the moment and have come across a bit of a problem that I can't solve. It is something that the last playtest threw up with Cath.

[Reel Adventures] Stakes, Cards and changes

Hi guys,

Unfortunately I didn't get a playtest of RA down at Conception but I did get a chance to bounce some of the problems I have been having with the game of the likes of Scott and Greg? Sorry I can't remember exactly who was there.

Anyway, the game has been coming along nicely and I have been shaping its tone and starting to think about design of the final book. However, design wise a couple of things had been bugging me:

1) The final showdown with the nemesis was unsatisfying.

So over here I talk about the playtest I had down at Conception. Now it fell completely flat but was incredibly useful at showing me what Stitch is about and how to make that happen. Thanks again to all involved.

[Stitch] Stopping Skynet! (long)

So I managed to get in a playtest of Stitch while I was down at Conception and I had changed a lot since the first one. Here is a summary of the game as it stood at Spodely and the changes:

Overview
Stitch is basically ’12 Monkeys’ the roleplaying game. The characters a group of civilians and military personel sent back in time from a post apocalyptic world to change the past and alter the future.
