[3:16] An insubordinate Trooper reporting!

Richard Lacy's picture

Sir, I have some requests for clarification about some aspects of 3:16.

1. I don't care about climbing the ranks, so why would I ever take a PowerBlade over a Flame-Gun? Since its something you can ONLY use in Close and you have to change to it, stop being stingy! Why are you punishing me for being hella-cool and mincing up the bugs like a real man?

Perhaps the Sidearm and Powerblade can be switched to automatically (easy to bring to bear). BUT, you still require an NFA check to switch AWAY from them to something else.

[Hot War] Character Sheet

Malcolm Craig's picture

The character sheet for Hot War is now available to view.

Yes, it is pretty sparse, isn't it? The design inspiration was identity papers, which tend to lack a lot of graphic design. All the game aids (game creation sheets, NPC sheets etc) will be in the same minimalist style, using the same typewriter-style typeface.

Cheers
Malcolm

Designing From the Character Sheet Out

So, I'm currently fiddling around with ideas for how to get Lost Gods to work as I want it to. As I mentioned in the previous thread, the existing system needs an overhaul and I'm noodling around with several ideas, all of which revolve around the core concepts.

[Cantare] A fantasy role-playing game

Gregor Hutton's picture

From time-to-time I have been mentioning a game called Cantare and it will very soon be ready for playtesting.

The character sheet is almost ready for the playtest so I have uploaded it to my webspace: character sheet.

Cantare is... a fantasy RPG about people, who are motivated and bonded, gaining import through adventure in a world rich in sorcery and consequences.

Contenders sheets

Hi Joe,

I just got around to picking up Contenders. I went to the PoD web site to print out some character sheets, and found the PC sheet as week as the fighting style cards. There are a couple more worksheets included in the back of the book that I couldn't find. Is there someplace I can download PDFs of all these?

[Six Bullets for Vengeance] Collaborative character sheets

One of the things that has come out of the past few playtests is the need for information about the antagonists and revelations to be presented clearly to all the players.

The revelation map was the first way of presenting this information, alongside all the information about a given scene, but this got confusing at times.

In the Spodley playtest I also introduced an antagonist sheet for each antagonist, divided into chapters to keep the information clearly laid out.

One comment was that the antagonists only used a small bit of their sheet, if any at all, so Malcolm suggested it be combined with the revelation map. I didn't quite go this far, instead rolling all the antagonist information and scene information into a single sheet. The protagonist has their own sheet, and the revelations have a sheet of their own, along with space for reward dice.
