So, Gaelcon then. We had 14 timetabled slots, 1-3 hours each, run by seven people. The con as a whole was felt much busier and better organised than last year, and they managed to avoid the massive Saturday mornings queues. There was some initial confusion over table space as they'd given one of our tables to wargames, but the replacement space downstairs was actually a quieter and more pleasant place to play (probably because of the aforementioned wargames).

I nearly forgot to post a link here to the AP thread over at Story Games!

Although if any of you guys have questions, comments, etc. I'd be more than happy to talk about my game or the playtest here as well. :)
Gaelcon 2008 - IGT?
Submitted by Joe Murphy on Thu, 07/08/2008 - 21:52.
Guys,
Anyone interested in putting together an IGT for Gaelcon this year? I've not heard anything, so I dunno if someone else has looked into this.
Based on our struggle for players last year, and our experience at Conpulsion, I'd suggest we run three games a day, but keep reserve GMs handy in case more folk turn up. As always, my goal is to game as much as possible, as often as possible. Socialising is for wussies.
(And as I'm in Dublin, I can put people up).
[Cold City] Raining down as Cold as Ice

OK, finally, here is the AP of first game I ran at GaelCon 2007: Cold City.
I got 3 players and decided not to wait too long to see if there was a fourth, so one of the PCs was going to be dropped. (Again this was the effect the booking/entry system had on the first day.)
I'll scan the character sheets and put them online soon (probably early next week). I don't have them to hand but I can remember most of the stuff. The PCs are detailed in this thread (along with the scenario when I post it).
[Mob Justice] So long, Milo Blue

OK, here is the AP of Mob Justice from GaelCon 2007.
I got 4 players who had signed up and they were all interested in playing and having a good time. We had two guys and two gals, and we were placed around a large table. (The table had been perhaps too big for some of the other, more intimate games, but was perfect for Mob Justice and much later in the weekend Umlaut.)
I briefly explained Mob Justice: modern-day Mobsters in an America where prohibition never ended. '20s cool in the 2000s. They really liked the hook and had a good idea of how they'd play their characters.
[GaelCon] Break it down...

OK, GaelCon was a great success for the Indie Games Track: we have full tables for every game that ran, and had to turn away players from a few games.
The first scheduled game each day didn't run, though (the con organisation didn't help here at all...) but Joe Murphy graciously ran his Polaris later in the day as a double header with something else.
I ran three games: Cold City, Mob Justice and Best Friends. I was pleased with all 3 of them.
