[Duty & Honour] Kill the Fox!

At the Games on Demand event at KapCon 2009, I got to run, for the first time, Duty & Honour in a convention environment. Out of all the games arrayed on our GoD table, this was one of the ones I really wanted people to sample. I was therefore pretty pleased when we got to play it on the Sunday.

2009 saw the second year of the Games on Demand room (or, rooms, this time round) at KapCon. Our facilitating team from last year was boosted by the addition of Simon Carryer and Gregor Hutton. This meant that, overall, we had seven people able to facilitate and talk about games. It gave a lot more latitude if people wanted to take a session or two off, play in games, run to get coffee etc.

After a week of camping in New Zealand's Northland, then rocking out at the Big Day Out and finally arriving almost straight from the airport, I found myself at Kapcon, Wellington's premier games convention. Part of my excitement at being there was due to the fact that i was scheduled to run a game I had been looking forward to for a long time.

Kapcon in Wellington, New Zealand is shaping up to be good fun. For the first time, there will be a Games On Demand room, where people can pitch up and ask to play games from a huge range of indie and small press titles, facilities by enthusiastic, knowledgeable volunteers.

In addition to this, there will also be stuff getting run as part of the main games schedule. I'm planning to run a game of Cold City and (which is the main point of this thread) a game of Dead of Night. And the DoN game is...
