New Hot War Downloads

Malcolm Craig's picture

"It strikes me as a nigh-perfect marriage of rules engine with game feel. It strikes me as fascinating."

That's what noted industry commentator Ken Hite said about Hot War, our game of secrets, lies, friends and enemies set in a post-apocalypse 1960s London, in his 'Out of the Box' column!

Need more reasons to check out Hot War? Well, we've just made available another two free downloads to support your games.

[Hot War] Project Breather

Malcolm Craig's picture

Right here in Wellington, the estimable Sophie Melchior has been a great supporter of various Collective Endeavour games (particularly Hot War and 3:16). She recently facilitated (to much acclaim) a session of Hot War at the Fright Night mini-con. And now, Sophie has written up the characters and notes from the game for others to use.

Check out Project Breather here.

[Hot War] Out of the Box

Malcolm Craig's picture

Much to my surprise, I was notified this morning that Ken Hite had posted his thoughts on Hot War in the 'Out of the Box' column at IPR.

Needless to say, I was very pleased with the comments made on the book. Not just about the writing, but the fact that Paul's art and design got heartily namechecked as well.

So, I guess giving away that free copy at Gen Con was worth it then!

The Hot War Wiki

Malcolm Craig's picture

As promised in the Hot War book, we finally have the Hot War Wiki in a state that we can present it to the public.

Feel free to go in, add some content from your own games, add films or books that you think are relevant, post up PCs and NPCs, monsters or whatever you feel like.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how it develops as a resource.

Cheers
