I've finally got round to assembling the Dead of Night 15 minute demo, including ready made characters and the quick start rules, for added convenience.
Feedback would be appreciated!

I've started this thread to link to the various reports that people have posted on the internet about their games of Dead of Night. If you post a report of your games, make sure you post a link to it here!

At Indiecon at the weekend I ran my first game of Dead of Night II, as I'm affectionately calling the second edition of my horror game. I watched the Host the other week, and whilst writing up my thoughts on how you'd run it as a game (which you can see here) it struck me how similar the basic premise and Tension circumstances were to Beowulf. I decided to see if I could run a monster movie in Dead of Night, based on a modern retelling of the saga of Beowulf.

Hi folks,
Finally managed to get sat down in front of a computer long enough to sum up my feelings about my first Indiecon. I had been to Conception a couple of times and was persuaded by Mr. Stokes that Indiecon would be right up my alley and a great place to get some playtesting in.

Ran a game based on 'The Mist' at Concrete Cow 09 (and a half), using Don, a system which has really grown on me over the last couple of years. I particularly enjoyed shaping the system to the requirements of the game...

At Conception, Scott kindly gave me a huge bag full of horror dvds, to help expand my horror horizons and get acquainted with some of the less well-known horror movies. As I work through them, I thought it'd be neat to pop a capsule review of them up here, along with my thoughts about using the material in Dead of Night.
