[Dark Days]My core concept is dumb, please help.

Dark Days is the game I'm working on. I'll explain it the way I came up with it, so that it makes sense.
Dark Days is a game about people with supernatural powers, that investigate and battle horrors in a world filled with the occult and the supernatural.

Are they magicians? No. They're people that died and then came back from the dead imbued with powers. Where do the powers come from? Darkness.

Darkness is a non-sentient force, one that affects our lives and pools where bad things happen. It's like a disease that spreads out as series of events unfold

[Dead of Night] Fun with House Rules

Ran a game based on 'The Mist' at Concrete Cow 09 (and a half), using Don, a system which has really grown on me over the last couple of years. I particularly enjoyed shaping the system to the requirements of the game...

[Dark Days] ''The man that never was''

This summer I ran some intense (8 hour sessions no less) Dark Days games, for playtesting purposes. This is the AP report from a single storyline, played over 4 days, back to back. I'll try and highlight the awesome scenes and what mechanics I feel promoted or created those awesome scenes as a way to show what the game has to offer in terms of play. Here we go!

Dark Days Game Premise:

[Dead of Night] horror movie-a-thon

At Conception, Scott kindly gave me a huge bag full of horror dvds, to help expand my horror horizons and get acquainted with some of the less well-known horror movies. As I work through them, I thought it'd be neat to pop a capsule review of them up here, along with my thoughts about using the material in Dead of Night.

[Van Dread]: Monsters

This is an idea for my game, ''Van Dread''(title pending). Van Dread is a horror/pulpy game set in the modern age. Characters play former insane asylum inmates that are set free to fight supernatural threats under the guidance of a mysterious organization.
My initial concept for the monsters they fight and the usual story format didn't work for me(Silent Hill-esque monsters, game limited to ghosts) so I'm in need of new antagonists.
I know the game is pulpy and focus a lot on action, with little investigation and horror thrown in, so this is what's important to me:

Is there a market?

Well I've just written up an adventure idea I had last night. I'm hoping to get a couple of playtests of it soon so Ican flesh it out as required. The thing is it's quite delibarately a one shot, there is no way you could fit it into a campaign at either the beginning or end.

So my wonder is, is there a market for a such a game? Should I try getting a PDF up on the various sites and see if people are interested or should I just give it away a free material to get myself noticed?

Thoughts anyone?
