B-Movie no longer available through IPR

Iain McAllister's picture

As of the 12th march, 'Revenge of the B-Movie!' is no longer available through IPR. I have taken this deciscion due to poor sales but would like to emphasise that it in no way reflects my opinion of IPR, I think Brennan, Fred and the rest of the team provide a fantastic service.

Putting 'Revenge of the B-movie!' on IPR was always going to be an experiment, one which has proven to be unsuccessful. You can still get the game from our shop and soon through PDF.

All the best

Iain

Fantasy & Grabbing Attention

Malcolm Craig's picture

Spun off from this thread on the sales of Barbarians of Lemuria. Any discussion of that topic should go in the original thread.

In that thread, Brennan from IPR said this:

"There are a lot of fantasy games out there, and I get a lot of fantasy game submissions. I have a pretty high bar for fantasy games because of this.

There are two main criteria I use: One, is the mechanic unusual or innovative? Two, is the setting something I have never seen before?"

[Hot War] Out of the Box

Malcolm Craig's picture

Much to my surprise, I was notified this morning that Ken Hite had posted his thoughts on Hot War in the 'Out of the Box' column at IPR.

Needless to say, I was very pleased with the comments made on the book. Not just about the writing, but the fact that Paul's art and design got heartily namechecked as well.

So, I guess giving away that free copy at Gen Con was worth it then!

Cheers
Malc

Hot War Pre-orders: A Data Point

Malcolm Craig's picture

As a data point for the future, I thought it would be useful to post up how the pre-order period went for Hot War.

Pre-orders (only through IPR) ran from the 10th until the 31st of July. During this period, we received 39 pre-orders through IPR. Each pre-order received the PDF version of the game for free.

The PDF version of the game was added to DTRPG on the 16th of July, but not actually advertised until the 19th (for various reasons). During the period the PDF has been available, we sold 45 PDFs and gave 10 complimentary copies of the PDF pack away.
